This June, get ready for a thrilling lineup of small-screen offerings that will have you glued to your seat! From highly-anticipated returns of fan-favourite shows such as House of the Dragon and The Boys to an original new storyline in the Star Wars universe, here are 16 films and TV shows to add to your watchlist this month.

 

The Acolyte

Watch if: You never tire of the Star Wars universe

Featuring a cast of A-list South Korean actors opening and running a Korean restaurant overseas, season two of Jinny’s Kitchen will see the cast take on a new venture. Located in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland, there will be plenty of fun changes to look forward to such as new roles, new food menus, and switchups in the kitchen.

Watch if: You want a story that explores the lives of marginalised communities

Starring: Lily Gladstone, Isabel Deroy-Olson, Ryan Begay, Crystle Lightning, Audrey Wasilewski, and Shea Whigham

Since her sister’s disappearance, Jax has cared for her niece Roki by scraping by within their Tribal Land. With the police’s minimal effort, every minute goes into finding her missing sister as well as helping Roki prepare for an upcoming powwow. At the risk Jax losing custody to Roki’s grandfather, the pair hit the road and scour the backcountry to track down Roki’s mother in time for the powwow. What begins as a search gradually turns into a deeper investigation into the complexities of Indigenous women at the mercy of a failed justice system.
