Magda Butrym x H&M: A Romantic Expression of Slavic Style
Slavic chic

H&M breaks new ground with its latest designer collaboration, joining forces with Magda Butrym—a name synonymous with romantic vision and nuanced femininity. This marks a first for the Swedish retailer, working with a Polish designer in a move that underscores creative freedom and cultural exchange.
Timed with the 10th anniversary of Butrym’s eponymous label, the release revisits some of the house’s beloved silhouettes, anchored by the rose—a motif that has long defined the brand’s aesthetic. Far more than just a decorative element, the rose embodies Butrym’s vision of modern womanhood—graceful yet assertive, and always in bloom.
“I really see this collection as a chance to invite people into our world—and to celebrate femininity, and the flower,” says Magda Butrym. “Each piece brings its own sense of Slavic romance, while paying homage to the history of our brand.”

Inspired by its storied archive, this collection finds its rhythm between ethereal softness and bold structure, where petal-inspired gowns flow effortlessly alongside wide-shouldered tailoring and oversized coats. Key pieces include a crimson ruffled gown, a sweeping crochet lace dress, and a rich burgundy leather coat.
Classic black tailoring cuts a sharp silhouette, with dramatic shoulders and a rose jacquard lining that showcases Magda’s architectural mastery. Equally eye-catching are the accessories: strappy sandals adorned with floral accents, silver crystal flower earrings, and silk headscarves—each adding a fresh, sophisticated layer to Polish femininity.

In anticipation of the official launch, Magda Butrym and H&M hosted a party at New York City’s One Hanson Place, transforming the historic venue into a lush floral wonderland. The soirée brought together A-listers like Valentina Sampaio, Iris Law, Irina Shayk, Nara Smith, Chloë Sevigny, and Amelia Gray, all dressed in looks from the collection. The evening came to life with live performances from Charlotte Lawrence and Kelela, along with DJ sets by Soo Joo and Fifi—shaping a night full of style and energy.
