Just yesterday afternoon, we hosted our very own #BuroxJML tea party with entrepreneur and fitness instructor Bella Kuan for 10 of her friends and 10 Friends of Buro to celebrate the launch of Jo Malone London’s new fragrance, Honeysuckle & Davana. As guests mingled in the breathtaking space, they got a first whiff of the new floral scent from the brand whilst trying on various scent pairings. As the girls took their seats at two long tables that were decked with tall vases of fresh blooms, deputy editor Gwen Ong delivered her welcome speech with a quick fragrance Q&A session with Bella.
It isn’t an actual tea party until real tea has been served—along with decadent trays of sweet and savoury treats. Conversations flowed freely as with glasses of bubbly, and the girls got a chance to engrave their initials and names on Jo Malone London candles by the gift station. Situated next to the tables was a flower crown station—each of the girls customised their very own flower crown, filled with lush florets and intertwining leaves. Now that they’ve got their hair accessories down pat, it was time to explore all the Instagrammable spots in the House of Jo Malone London. From a bathtub filled with gift boxes to cushy seats beneath florals cascading from the rooftop beams, the space had one too many photo-worthy areas to choose from.
The lovely afternoon drew to a close after a handful of group shots (the only way to officially conclude an event, naturally.) Our guests bid adieu with floral crowns in one hand, and another with Jo Malone London door gifts and cookies from Buttercake Factory—the perfect sweet note to wrap up the tea party.
