That said, even liquid lipsticks can get messy when it comes a quick glide of colour on the lips. So when M.A.C Cosmetics’ latest lip oil—the successor of the Hint of Colour Lip Oil that was launched two years ago—came through with 14 shades and a colour-saturated formula, I was excited to see how it’d fare.”
“First thought: the colour payoff is definitely more pigmented than the predecessor (and for a regular lip oil!) But unlike that of a lip gloss, the texture isn’t tacky so you don’t have to worry about the whole hair-sticking-to-your-lips sitch when it’s windy out. My lips felt adequately moisturised even after a couple of hours (the formula has a combination of hydrating oils), and my favourite way to wear it is to blend the colour with my fingers/lip brush for a bee-stung or Korean-inspired ombré effect.
