3 New heady fragrances to delve into this spring

Got a penchant for warm, woody scents? Giorgio Armani’s bestselling Acqua di Gio fragrance range has a new woody addition — the Acqua di Gio Absolu, a heady concoction that brings together fresh water and warm wood for a masculine scent. For a balanced redolence between both notes, patchouli gives it a sensual twist, forming the heart of the fragrance. A dash of labdanum resinoid 0ffers an ambery finish to the base, altogether giving it a timeless character. The amber-coloured bottle also incorporates woody elements — the unique cap is made of sustainably sourced ash wood.

Refresh your senses with a zesty new scent from Burberry — the Mr. Burberry Indigo. Top notes include lemon oil, blackcurrant, and rosemary, along with a vibrant heart made of green violet leaf, driftwood and spearmint. You can’t miss the earthy base of amber, white oak moss and musk, allowing for a bold, well-rounded finish that’s a signature of every Burberry fragrance. Spot elements from the house’s iconic navy trench coat on the bottle, from the weighted cap that’s inspired by the buttons to the hand-tied English-woven gabardine knot.

We’ve covered woody and zesty fragrances, but this new one from Atelier Cologne is all about celebrating your favourite cuppa joe. As the Café Tuberosa opens with notes of bergamot, tangerine and cardamom, the rich coffee espresso accord will hit you in a subtle manner, alongside a floral whiff thanks to tuberose and Damascena rose absolue. A vanilla base made of patchouli, Madagascar vanilla and cacao absolue lends some musky undertones that give this fragrance a kick unlike any other espresso-inspired scents.
