Backstage Access: 4 New-season trends by Tom Pecheux

Tom Pecheux worked his magic backstage, creating two distinct looks for the Anthony Vaccarello Spring/Summer ’16 show—a clean and fresh face with simple makeup to soften the edges of the eclectic collection, and a bold red duo on the eyes and lips of four models to echo the standout reds on the runway. Take a closer look at the beauty dos by Pecheux, including tips to achieve them:

1. Natural skin

Honing in on the look of the season, skin was massaged, pampered and perfectly prepped, then enhanced with a few targeted dabs of foundation and touch-ups with concealer.

Pecheux’s tip: Add a touch of sophistication with slight contouring beneath the cheek, paired with a rosewood blush to keep the look fresh.

Try: Lancôme’s Advanced Génifique Serum, Miracle Cushion, and Blush Subtil Brun Roche

2. Bright eyes

Using a palette created by Vaccarello for Lancôme, hues with pearly particles and fine white, yellow and rose gold sparkles were shaded over the eyelid, catching the light in the loveliest way. A light taupe brown “V” structure is drawn to the outer corner of the eye, stretching it into a catlike shape.

Pecheux’s tip: Rub the liner with your fingertips to give it a slightly smudge look, just enough to be sexy.

Try: Vaccarello for Lancôme Hypnôse Palette Golden Black* and Le Crayon Khôl Brun

3. Nude lips

Running on the fresh-face trail, lips were simply moisturised with a natural balm, leaving them with a luscious, satiny sheen.

Try: Lancôme‘s L’Absolu Rouge La Base

4. Bold red

To create this look of bold beauty, Pecheux applied perfectly chic red lips on the models. Using the same intense red,  “a more instinctive, slightly smudged way, as if swept on a bit carelessly” was used around the eyes, creating a rebellious punk look.

Try: Lancôme‘s L’Absolu Rouge Rouge Odyssee 150 and Le Crayon Khôl Noir
