Floral crowns get a reboot at Dior Spring 2017 Couture

Maria Grazia Chiuri debuted her first haute couture collection for the house of Dior yesterday evening, and her fairy-tale inspired lineup didn’t disappoint with feminine, tulle elements that evoked a saccharine yet edgy sentiment. Beauty wise, the hair and makeup went hand in hand with the collection’s theme. Complexion was kept flawless save for sequin star freckles and faux tears, while the lips were given a dose of shine and a slick of sweet pink tint.

Another standout was the fancy headgear that was spotted on most of the models. The first half of the show saw models wearing black sheer masks that echoed the darker mood of the all-black looks, later on progressing with fancy floral headpieces that even included branches and towering feathers—all designed by acclaimed milliner Stephen Jones.
