Golden Globes 2017: All the red carpet beauty looks we love

Despite the brooding, gloomy weather, Hollywood’s stars came out to celebrate the best in both TV and film in Beverly Hills, California. The awards ceremony is still underway as we compile the best beauty trends spotted on the red carpet. Our favourite A-listers didn’t disappoint, with varied beauty looks ranging from glamourous to girly to complement their spangled ensembles.

Statement lips

It looks like the matte bold lip look isn’t going anywhere. The memo tonight for sporting this trend is to pair it with a full set of lashes for maximum impact—we’re loving how Lily Collins had a light dusting of pink over her eyelids for an intriguing effect.

A dramatic smoky eye

Hollywood’s glam girls always love a dramatic eye, and tonight was no different. Ruth Negga opted for a silver grey smoky eye to complement her sequinned gown, while Olivia Culpo did the phrase ‘go for gold’ justice with a touch of gold in the middle of her eyelids.

The romantic lip

The ultra-feminine, pink lippie is having its moment on the red carpet as well. Emma Stone and Jessica Chastain’s subtle lip colours were in tandem with their rosy complexions, and we can’t resist Natalie Portman’s choice of pink that packed a punch.
