‘What I See’ – Through the lens of Brooklyn Beckham

It’s no secret that Brooklyn Beckham has a strong love for the art of photography – he even has a tattoo to prove this. Last year, the 18-year-old was commissioned to work on a Burberry campaign as well as a photo diary for Pull & Bear.

This passion started at the age of 14 when his famous dad, David bought him his first camera—a Fujifilm. Since then, he has moved onto Leica and is often seen toting his trusty camera around. His Instagram showcases his skills and various subjects, mostly his travels and family, which form the main highlights of his first book.

Titled What I See, Brooklyn’s camerawork gives us an intimate portrayal of his life with a series of 300 images. Each chapter features different stories and captions in his own words.

“I didn’t plan this photo,” he explained about the image of his brother Romeo holding flowers. “Romeo and I were waiting to see our little sister’s ballet recital and we bought her flowers. I took this when we were waiting outside and I love it!” In another pre-release image, he captured his sister Harper with her book working in concentration. “My sister loves drawing. I taught her and we do it together sometimes. This is her at the kitchen table.”

What I See will be released on 29th June with pre-orders available now. Following this, Brooklyn is slated to pursue his talent at university in New York later this year.
