December is one month where the entertainment level is cranked up high as everyone gets into the holiday mood. Tis’ the season you’re rewarded with some great movies to get you excited about the year-end festivities. You’ve worked hard all year, so it’s time to kick back and enjoy a day out or two at the cinema.

 

Sing

This animated film features big names such as Reese Witherspoon, Matthew McConaughey and Scarlett Johansson among others. An entire town goes audition for a singing contest and as you can imagine what ensues is a riot!

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Fans will be gearing up to watch if this live up to the hype. During the Age of the Empire, a group of resistance fighters unite to steal the plans to the Death Star – the Galactic Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction.

Assassin’s Creed

Based on the video game franchise of the same name, the story revolves around Callum Lynch (played by Michael Fassbender) who is rescued from his own execution and forced to relive the memories of his ancestor to gain the knowledge and skills as a Master Assassin.

The Great Wall

The film follows a trio of mercenaries who go in search of gunpowder and discover the Great Wall of China but the reason of the construction is not what it may seem. This is the first English-language film directed by Zhang Yimou.

Passengers

Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence star in this sci-fi adventure flick that sees them taking a 120-year journey in a hibernation pod to another galaxy. However, the two passengers are awakened 90 years too early and discovered the ship is facing a major malfunction.
