Spanning an area of 4,995 square feet, Swee Lee’s spanking new space in Lot 10 looks set to be a go-to hangout spot for music lovers in Bukit Bintang.
“Since Swee Lee began operating in Malaysia three years ago, we’ve been delighted to support local musicians as they pursue their creative journeys,” says Meng Ru Kuok, Manging Director of Swee Lee Music. “The refurbished KL flagship store is about taking this to the next level. In a dynamic city like Kuala Lumpur, which has a deep passion for music and incredibly talented artists, we want to establish a space where anyone can be inspired to connect and create.”
Just as a library is to bibliophiles, Swee Lee is akin to a wonderland for musicians with its extensive core line-up of music instruments, especially guitars — Swee Lee is the exclusive distributor for brands like Fender, Gibson and Marshall in Malaysia after all. Aside from music gear, patrons will also find new features such as an in-house café dubbed the Swee Lee Social Club, a welcoming spot to get a cuppa as well as cakes and desserts after a bout of shopping, or just mingle with like-minded people.
Audiophiles will be delighted to see the vinyl section, which features a selection of over 1,200 new records alongside turntables, speakers and vinyl accessories. This sits right next to a range of curated lifestyle products, where you’ll find cool merch and gift ideas for music lovers.
