6 – 29 March, Women Behind The Art @ Common Ground TTDI

A group art exhibition curated by Common Ground and The Art Seni in light of International Women’s Day, Women Behind The Art features works by a lineup of local female artists, including Elly Nor, Fariza Basri, Megan Alessandra, Shan Shan Lim and Tantiyana. There will be curatorial tours and a meet-the-artists session too.

8 – 12 March, .IRL Exhibition @ The Zhongshan Building

A collaborative exhibition between artists Valery Koh and Xia Yi Ang, .IRL celebrates the work of Malaysian labels and designers with collage artworks featuring runway looks from Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW). Featured designers include Cassey Gan, Ezzati Amira, Jonathan Liang and JTNC By Justin Chew.

Remember Leaism from our list of up-and-coming local music acts? Well, turns out the multi-talented lass dabbles in theatre too. She takes the director seat for Nadirah, an upcoming play written by Alfian Sa’at.

22 March, Seni Tiga #02: Collaborative Performance @ Kongsi KL

Seni Tiga’s second collaborative performance brings together dancers Hoi Cheng Sim, Lau Beh Chin, Lee Jia Xi and Ix Wong Thien Pau, set designers Loke Soh Kim and Ix Wong, as well as artist Chua Sek Khim for a unique piece that draws inspiration from the venue itself, an empty warehouse which used to be a stainless-steel factory. You can also choose to come by the evening before for an open viewing of the technical rehearsal.

22 – 24 March, Malaya Relived: The Fall of Singapore @ GMBB, KL

Liver & Lung brings its critically acclaimed Relived series to KL with the first local chapter—The Fall of Singapore. Set in 1940s Malaya, it depicts the story of a brother-sister duo whose lives are intertwined with black magic and betrayal as they investigate their father’s mysterious death while keeping their family at peace and surviving the British rule in colonial Singapore.

23 March, Pouring Art Workshop @ Mano Thinking

28 – 30 March, David Glass’ Tempest @ KLPac

Lim Soon Heng, Lee Swee Keong, Lim Kien Lee, Nikki Basharudi, Teo Jun Vinh and Zul Zamir star in this reimagining of Shakespeare’s The Tempest by David Glass, one of the founders and initiators of the Physical / Visual, Devised and Applied Theatre movement.
