Happening this month: music festivals around the globe

Iceland Airwaves

4 to 8 November, Reykjavik, Iceland

There’s something appealing that comes with the notion of an Icelandic music festival; if it’s not the spectacular and scenic natural beauty of the land, it’s the unique culture that easily draws us in. But this time, it is all paired with a humongous selection of great music from Iceland and abroad – about 120 of them that will turn downtown Reykjavik into a music haven for five whole days. The headliners include Hot Chip, Beach House, Battles, Ariel Pink and many, many more. Head here for the full lineup.

Fun Fun Fun Fest

6 to 8 November, Austin, Texas

Since beginning its run in 2006, Fun Fun Fun Fest has become renowned for injecting comedy, action sports, food and poster art experiences into a full-fledged music festival. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, the festival highlights a diverse mix of headliners, among which include Wu-Tang Clan, Chromeo, Schoolboy Q, Grimes, Jane’s Addiction, D’Angelo and the Vanguard, Chvrches, Future Islands, NOFX, Coheed and Cambria, and Venom (their only US show), to name a few. Clockenflap

27 to 29 November, Hong Kong

Combining an eclectic selection of energetic music, avant-garde art, and the world of film with some good ol family fun,Clockenflap is not one to be missed. Music headliners include New Order, The Libertines, A$ap Rocky, Damien Rice, Chic ft. Nile Rodgers, and many, many more. Check out what’s in store for you here.
