The Balmain girl is a paradox this season. Not one to be categorised, she’s a little bit of everything—rebellious, spunky, but sweet and also charming when she needs to be. With that in mind, Olivier Rousteing also made sure that she didn’t run out of options no matter what occasion. While we were trying to pick out the more noteworthy pieces out of the 83-strong collection, what caught our attention was the main detail that definitely couldn’t be missed out on—pointed studs in all variations.
From gold-toned spikes to metal studs, the motif permeated through everything. A medley of blazers, oversized biker jackets, vests, and even PVC raincoats were thoroughly spiked out (we pondered on the feasibility of thorny trousers but, *shrugs* fashion), and the accessories followed suit. Quilted leather bags, gloves, and even newsboy caps echoed the sentiment, but our personal favourite has to be an exquisite range of flatforms and heeled booties, all embellished with a tonne of studs—making for the best (and only) self-defense accessory you need.
