Karl Lagerfeld introduced the new silhouette at Paris Fashion Week in March for Chanel Autumn/Winter 2018. The show space at the Grand Palais was transformed into a wooden forest in the height of fall, dried brown leaves crunched under the models’ footfalls as they walked through the woods, the latest 31 bag in tow. The exciting new shape takes form of a large supple leather tote with oval handles, and can be worn multiple ways. Carry as a tote with the large cut-out handles, wear as a shoulder bag or crossbody with the accompanying double strap in two-tone leather and for the evening, fold the soft leather bag in half and carry it as an oversized clutch. The versatile bag is available in two-tone lambskin in a wide range of colours including Chanel’s iconic colourway—beige and black. If you prefer to go stealth, the all-black version in shiny, crushed and quilted calfskin is more up your alley. Whether you love colour block or normcore, the CC tourniquet clasp adds a classic touch and an identifiable Chanel signature to the new silhouette.
