#FlashbackFriday: 16 KLFW 2019 looks that are perfect for Malaysia Day

There’s no better way to celebrate Malaysia Day than by supporting the works of our local talents, whether it’s rocking makeup from Malaysian beauty brands, planning an all-things-Malaysian weekend which includes a staycation in town, and last but not least, sporting outfits made by our very talented fashion designers. In conjunction with the festivities on September 16th, we take a look back at the recent Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week to select 16 looks in the colours of our national flag to show our patriotism loud and proud. These get-ups will let you #supportlocal and be oh-so-trendy at the same time.

There was no shortage of beautiful dresses that were sent down the runway, from Syomirizwa Gupta‘s billowy tiered cotton number and Saiful Baharim‘s saree-inspired gown, to Innai Red‘s off-shoulder lace piece (that’ll make the perfect destination wedding gown), and Alia Bastamam‘s asymmetrical dress that beautifully flows with the wind. Print-wise, Behati‘s Hibiscus print, Maarimaia’s rose motif, and Fiziwoo‘s combination of painterly prints are some of our favourites from this year, although the nautical rope accents as seen on the Jovian Mandagie co-ords will be a crowd-pleaser, for sure.

Below, our picks from KLFW 2019:
