Nothing screams ‘down to party’ louder than a fun, flirty party frock. It’s our birthday month and we’re in a serious celebratory mood! Thank God for Paris Haute Couture Autumn/Winter 2018 to satiete the festive hunger. It seems the stars are aligned with jubilant feathers, ruffles and frills, which made our list for key trends of the season, plus the daringly deep V-neckline—va va voom! Here, our edit of the most statement-worthy dresses that graced the runway, in playing it dangerously high hemlines for the ultimate party girl. Jean Paul Gaultier took a page from the boys’ playbook with a tuxedo-inspired bell-sleeved dress (Look 4), Van Herpen’s futuristic time-lapse concept (Look 8) illustrated with architecture and algorithms for a rippling effect, and finally an assymetrical bow-like ballgown by Vaulthier (Look 11) that for the modern Cyndi Lauper.
