MFW SS16: Costume National

Deviating from his previous collections, Capasa brought a feminine edge to the brand’s classic graphic and minimalistic aesthetic, presenting “a mix of romantic and tailoring” which was displayed through the use of sheer fabrications and jacquard, alongside Japanese denim with sharp cut outs.

Alongside taking a fresh step to a softer appeal with fabrics, Capasa toned down his structure by opting for more fluid silhouettes, including plissé dresses, ruffles and asymmetric silk skirts. This aside, Costume National’s spring/summer’16 palette was a contemporary take on film noir, save for a striking red co-ord suit that broke up the black and white assemblage with a touch of chic.
