NYFW SS16: Michael Kors

Michael Kors’ powerhouse status is cemented by the attendance of his SS16 runway show, which saw actresses Olivia Wilde, Naomi Watts, and influential fashion and portrait photographer Mario Testino seated at the front row.

The collection was built upon the notion of ‘earthy elegance’—this was represented by two distinctly different aesthetics on the runway; ensembles with a stripped-down, utilitarian appeal to them were juxtaposed with feminine, flowery numbers that embodied the essence of Spring. 

While the impeccably put together separates made for stunning, standout looks, the lovely floral dresses, packed with blossoms Kors called “desert flowers”, held their own admirably.
