NYFW SS16: Ralph Lauren

The Ralph Lauren collection set sail with the likes of Jessica Chastain and Julianne Moore in presence, showing the world the definition of nautical chic. Classic seafaring motifs were of an abundance; navy and white hues dominated sport luxe separates, flowy skirts, and jackets—timeless essentials apt for both sea and city ventures.

Lauren injected the nautical affair with an unexpected twist of bold graphics: geometrical abstract prints in bold primary colours popped up mid-presentation, the boldest of them all being the glamorous floor-length gown with all-over prints—a statement-making number in its own right.
