Best dressed at Shanghai Film Festival 2019: Shu Qi, Lu Han, Eddie Peng and more

The 22nd annual Shanghai International Film Festival has officially commenced over the weekend. Naturally, you can expect the biggest names in the Asian film industry—China, Hong Kong and Taiwan—to make their appearances on the opening night. When it comes to their red carpet ensembles, one thing’s for sure: they’re not any less eye-catching than what we recently saw at Cannes.

Some of the best dressed ladies on our list include Gwei Lun-Mei in a Chanel Pre-Fall 2019 sequin-and-tulle gown; Shu Qi looking pretty-in-pinklavender in a Miu Miu gown; and Hannah Quinlivan in a square-neck tulle gown by Valentino. We love how supermodel Du Juan opted for something slightly different for the event—instead of a long gown, she donned a Prada Autumn 2018 mesh dress, but still made it appropriate for a red carpet. When it comes to the gents, Eddie Peng and Luhan both gave the traditional suiting that trendy twist—the former, in the form of a full-suede look from Berluti, and the latter, a classic black tux with embroidery all over the blazer. Also on our list? Amanda Seyfried, who lend some Hollywood star power to the event. Wearing a strapless Givenchy gown from the brand’s Autumn 2019 collection, complete with loose waves and a Barbie pink lip, which, if you hadn’t notice, is so in trend right now.
