Gucci collaborates with Dover Street Market

Dover Street Market—the edgy concept store known for their bi-annual “tachiagari” (a new beginning or start) where they shut down completely to remodel the entire interior of the store—has now added Alessandro Michele’s Gucci to their stable of brands. All four DSM locations (Tokyo, London, New York and Beijing) will stock Michele’s A/W 2015-16 and Cruise 2016 collections, in dedicated spaces reimagined by Michele. “We have always believed in breaking the rules and taking risks,” says President of DSM, Adrian Joffe. “The collections have that wonderful combination of new and traditional as well as being completely authentic. We are very proud and honoured to be a part of the Gucci revolution.”

The partnership took life today at Dover Street Market in Ginza, Tokyo, the home city of Dover Street Market’s founder Rei Kawakubo. DSM New York and London will open a similar space on September 10 (in conjunction with their respective fashion weeks), and Beijing will open in the fall.
