#KLFWRTW2017: Farah Khan celebrates a decade of style with a one-of-a-kind show

With A-list clients such as Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez and more, can you believe that the brand only made its international debut 10 years ago? Fast forward to 10 years later, and with stockists at over 70 fashion capitals in the world, Farah Khan celebrated its 10th birthday with a show that is a mixture of its past, present and future. The event was a joyous celebration of everything the label represents, and it’s the perfect balance of style and substance.

 

The show started with a montage of the brand’s highlights over the past decade, before sending the new generation (aka daughters of local ‘It’ girls—Yiu Lin, Zaireen Ibrahim and host of the night, Elaine Daly) down the runway, all dressed in Farah Khan’s childrenswear, no less (PS: how cute are they?). Next, the Friends of Farah Khan segment includes celebrities such as Deborah Henry, Izara Aishah and Debbie Goh giving the label’s pieces their own spin according to their personal style. Segregating her latest collection into five categories: ‘Resort’, ‘The Artist’, ‘Pop Princesses’, ’20^th Century Masters’ and ‘Victoriana’, each category is pulled together by the brand’s signature geometric prints and shiny sequins. The finale sees Dato’ Farah Khan and the creative team behind the brand taking their bows alongside everyone who was involved in the #DecadeofStyle show.
