Matchesfashion.com is opening a creative hub in East London

Located at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London, the 24,000 square-feet space will be transformed into a creative hub, with 20 photography bays and video sets to boost the studio’s output by 50%, which means there’ll be around 2,000 products to be uploaded on its site per week (which also means more retail therapy for us!). This will also enable the site to come up with more innovative ways to sell products online, for example, 360-degree videos that gives customers a clearer view of the items. Besides that, a media space will also be introduced for them to produce editorial content for over 450 brands which are stocked on their site.

Chief executive Ulric Jerome said: “Storytelling is such an important part of what we do and how we engage with our customer and service our brand partners through elevated content creation—we are renowned for the content we produce in house and the seamless integration with commerce. This move to Here East, and our investment in a new creative hub, will help us to achieve our plans to generate even more innovative and engaging content for our brands and customers.”

The investment will see at least 150 new jobs being introduced in the next four years, on top of its 500 employees based at its headquarters at The Shard.
