The 10 hottest fashion brands of the moment, ranked

The Business of Fashion and Lyst have come together once again for the latest edition of its Lyst Index, ranking the hottest brands of Q1 2018 based on its “Google and Lyst search data, engagement statistics, conversion rates and sales.” Result? Balenciaga came in at number one for the third quarter in a row, after replacing Gucci—at number two—since Q3 last year. Led by Demna Gvasalia, his own label—Vetements sat at a solid third place, which is a different story from High Snobiety’s recent article signalling the brand’s impending downfall. Other notable mentions include Givenchy, where creative director Clare Waight Keller’s tenure (she recently showed her third collection) is slowly gaining pace, and Yeezy who is now at the ninth spot. Although Prada didn’t make it to top 10, the fashion house surged 14 spots to the 11^th place, thanks to its Cloudbust sneakers and the comeback of its signature nylon pieces.

Brands such as Celine, Chanel, Christian Dior, Hermes and Louis Vuitton are not included in the Lyst Index “due to exclusive vertical distribution models”.
