After the successful debut of Coach Play Singapore Shophouse last year, Coach has extended similar reach into Malaysia with the opening of Coach Play Ipoh. Tucked away within Silverlakes Village Outlet in Perak, about a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Kuala Lumpur, the new concept store enhances the brand’s commitment to crafting immersive and interactive retail experiences that ignite the senses.
The pop-up store covers an impressive 2,516 square feet and offers a scenic lakeside view, evoking the atmosphere reminiscent of the Adirondacks—an iconic mountainside destination in upstate New York. Beyond its picturesque setting, the freshly opened shop captures the imaginative landscape of summer camp, inviting customers into a world that embodies the Coach’s playful spirit and sense of community.
Stepping into the store, you will immediately recognise how the American fashion house adeptly incorporates bright hues and rich textures to curate an engaging, hands-on retail experience. The space ingeniously translates Coach’s signature visual style, deep-rooted craftsmanship and distinctive New York streetwear influence into architectural elements that subtly pay homage to Ipoh’s natural landscape.
Guests will also come across bespoke 3D leather, whimsical shearling squirrels scattered throughout the store and fixture designs showcasing intricate leather stitch-work and piping. The warm colour palette, reminiscent of New York City’s golden hour, adds to the inviting ambience. Plus, there’s a diverse array of offerings, from ready-to-wear to leather goods and accessories, all designed to empower and express your authentic self.
Another highlight of the experience is the Coach Coffee Shop, a first in Malaysia. Here, you can savour coffee, tea and signature Coach hot chocolate, together with classic American treats like soft serve in peanut butter & jelly and apple pie flavours. On top of that, don’t miss out on exploring the limited-edition Coach Coffee Shop pieces such as The Coach Coffee Shop canvas tote bag, water bottle and t-shirt.
The excitement doesn’t stop there—just outside the store, you can play the alfresco games and activities like cornhole, table tennis and bocce ball. The outdoor area offers plenty of seating too, in addition to a life-sized vintage car adorned with a canoe on top, a charming photo spot, and a campfire pit for gatherings.
