Manolo Blahnik’s upcoming documentary features a star-studded cast

Titled Manolo: The Boy Who Made Shoes for Lizards, the biopic of the famed Spanish luxury shoe designer is just one of the few highly anticipated fashion documentaries that’ll be out this year (stay tuned for our compiled list!). Scheduled to hit the big screen this September (a day after New York Fashion Week wraps up), aside from many of Manolo Blahnik’s witty one-liners, the newly released trailer also features an impressive line-up. From frequent Manolo collaborator Rihanna to fashion heavyweights such as Anna Wintour, Naomi Campbell and André Leon Talley, each of them shares their love for the 74-year-old designer (and his shoes) in the documentary, with Vogue editor Anna Wintour saying, “I can’t remember the last time I wore anybody else’s shoes. I just don’t even look at them.”

The trailer gives us a prelude on the seemingly lighthearted yet intimate documentary, and one thing’s for sure—you don’t have to have the same obsession à la Carrie Bradshaw to be interested in the film. Although we’ll be the first to admit, we do.
