Tony Awards 2024: 20 Best-dressed celebrities on the red carpet

The 77th Tony Awards unfolded at Lincoln Center in New York on Sunday night, June 16, celebrating the best of Broadway over the past year. Much like its previous edition, the red carpet was a stunning exhibition of fashion, where celebrities showcased their best styles and delivered memorable looks that lived up to expectations.

Angelina Jolie made a grand entrance alongside her daughter, Vivienne. The celebrated actress wore an elegant teal green velvet gown designed by Versace, harmonising beautifully with her daughter’s attire: a white long-sleeve top paired with a matching green vest, bow tie, and trousers. Meanwhile, Ariana DeBose stole the spotlight in an Art Nouveau-inspired dress fresh, from the runway of the Oscar de la Renta Autumn 2024 show.

On the other hand, Brooke Shields opted for a lemon yellow gown by Monique Lhuillier, which she paired with a yellow pair of crocs as she recovered from her recent foot surgery. Alicia Keys embraced Gucci glamour in a bespoke burgundy number embellished with sequins. Also making a stylish appearance were Cynthia Erivo in a strapless Louis Vuitton gown and Billy Porter in a shimmering creation by Robert Wun.

Several black dresses commanded attention, notably Rachel McAdams’ asymmetrical Givenchy dress and Ashley Park’s Nina Ricci corset dress. Adding to that, Sarah Paulson, who took home the Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play, looked stunning in a black and white floral Prada gown.

The array of suits was equally impressive, with Elle Fanning choosing a Saint Laurent suit that marked her departure from the usual feminine style. Another favourite was Daniel Radcliffe’s violet tuxedo by Todd Snyder and Jeremy Strong’s brown velvet suit. Discover more of our top looks from the evening below.
