Buro 24/7 Malaysia is turning two soon! In conjunction with this, we’re hosting our second edition of the Buro 24/7 Malaysia Digital Awards. Just like last year, we’re paying a special tribute to those who have made our digital sphere a little more exciting with their presence and creativity.

After careful selection, we’ve narrowed down the cream of the crop. This year, we’ll be handing out the awards in the following categories:

i) Favourite Social Media Influencer

ii) Favourite Digital Content Creator

iiI) Most Inspiring Entrepreneur

iv) Best Digital Start-Up

How will the winners be chosen?

The winners for each category will be determined through a combination of online voting (60%) plus offline votes cast by a panel of judges (40%) that includes the Buro 24/7 Malaysia editorial team and publishers.

What criteria will be used to evaluate the nominees?

The nominees will be judged based on the following quantitative and qualitative aspects of ‘influence’.

For the Favourite Social Media Influencer, Favourite Digital Content Creator and Most Inspiring Entrepreneur nominees:

(a) Number of followers;

(b) Engagement of followers (ratio of average ‘likes’ to total followers);

(c) Professionalism (which includes accountability, integrity, reliability, work ethic and communication);

(d) Quality of content (which includes originality, creativity and aesthetic appeal); and

(e) Presence (which includes industry credibility, personality, passion, affability, and gravitas).

For the Best Digital Start-Up category, nominees need to be:

(a) Malaysia-based;

(b) Predominantly digital in its operations; and

(c) Launched within the last three years (that is, not earlier than 2014);

(d) Demonstrate innovation in their field;

(e) Achieved something significant in the last year; and

(f) Be relevant to the Buro 24/7 reader (that is, independent trendsetters with a global outlook for what’s new and what’s next).

Dear readers, do keep these criteria in mind when casting your votes.

You’re just one click away. All you have to do is:
