5 Stylish (and comfy) shoes that are perfect for everyday wear and travel

I used to judge the female members in my family for their excessive attraction to shoes—heels, sandals, platform wedges, you name it, they’ve bought it. However, that judgement has come back to bite me at my heels in recent years. I have the exact same problem except my addiction is to sneakers and shoes of the athleisure sort. Sorry, high heels—it’s not you, it’s me.

You can’t blame me though because those shoes are really made for walking and they look good with most outfits. Well, my outfits, at least. There has been a slew of new shoe releases of late and a couple that caught my eye. If you’re looking for a new pair of shoes (or two) to ease walking and standing (almost) all-day long—especially when travelling—here are five stylish (and comfy) shoes that’ll do the job.

1. Puma Cali, RM449

On top of my list is the new Puma Cali shoes which you might have seen several awesome campaigns featuring K-Pop superstar, Hyolyn; and which I actually own in black/gum colour. Available in several colourways, the Puma Cali trainers have been upgraded from an ’80s tennis icon to give them a slight retro style. With a beautiful sleek leather upper and a contrasting white stacked midsole to deliver the ultimate cushioned wear, the sneakers are a joy to walk in every single time.

Plus, I’ve actually received several compliments for it.

2. Nike Classic Cortez, RM329

NIKE CORTEZ CLASSIC FUCHSIA

The Nike Classic Cortez is one of my favourite collections from Nike but the latest White/Laser Orange/Laser Fuchsia colourway is beautiful beyond words. Clearly a Spring/Summer-inspired look, the combination of the two stark colours are match made in heaven—from the brand’s logo in bright fuchsia on the upper to the insole splashed with the same colour to the striking orange at the back. Since the Nike Classic Cortez was Nike’s original running shoe, you can bet it’s great for all-day wear.

3. adidas PureBoost Go, RM500

Runners, this is the pair for you. Built with city streets in mind, you can run in them or plain go on a stroll with them. Either way, its expanded landing zone and heel plate can handle (and support) your every step—even on uneven sidewalks. It’ll feel almost like you’re walking (or running) on clouds. I especially love the stretchy knit upper.

4. Under Armour Breathe Trainer, RM429

The first thing that Under Armour‘s shoes are known for is the technology used to make them that ensures high performance. The Under Armour Breathe Trainer, on the other hand, was made with both functionality and style in mind. You can wear them for everyday wear or for an intense workout session. It’s lightweight yet offers ample support, and snugly wears your feet.

5. Reebok Pyro Women’s, RM279

Chunky trainers from the ’90s stylebook are still hanging around and Reebok‘s offering is a fine contender. Made with a premium textile and utilising Hexalite cushioning for a comfy, chunky midsole, it’s also a great match for most outfits.
