#BuroEats: 5 New places to visit in KL for April 2018

1. Outpost Mont Kiara

Mont Kiara welcomes a new coffee spot powered by Outcast Coffee, crepe cakes and a small selection of savoury pastries (think shepherd’s pie and soon, bagel sandwiches). We’re giving it bonus points for the outdoor area and its bright, cosy interior (thumbs up for the almost 100 percent natural lighting).

Address: Shoplex Mont Kiara

Opening hours:

Mon – Thurs, 8am – 7pm

Weekends, 10am – 10pm

2. Anther & Stigma Floral Cafe

Could florist-cafes be the next trend in KL? One thing’s for sure though—Plaza Arkadia is fast becoming a foodies’ paradise. Being so new in the scene, the variety at Anther & Stigma isn’t much but is enough to satiate your first visit with options such as the Salted Gula Melaka Granola Bowl, cakes, sandwiches and pasta.

Address: H-1-10, Plaza Arkadia @ Desa Park City

Opening hours:

Mon* – Thurs, 8.30am – 6.30pm

Fri – Sun, Public Holidays, 9am – 10pm

*Kitchen closes on Mondays

3. Drop KL

After 18 successful years in Hong Kong’s nightlife scene—even to the extent of attracting the likes of celebrities that include Sting and Gwyneth Paltrow—Drop Hong Kong has extended its reach to Kuala Lumpur. A Modern American restaurant and lounge, you’re invited to eat and taste the contrasting flavours; drink and tantalise your spirit with handcrafted molecular cocktails; and ‘drop’ your best dance moves at the exclusive private rooftop space with cool tunes and a vast view of the Royal Selangor Golf Club’s lush greenery.

Address: The Terraces @ TREC KL

Opening hours: 5pm till late (closed on Sun & Mon)

4. Bukku Cafe

It’s not newly opened but it most certainly is quite a hidden gem (at the time of writing). From the front, it boasts a monochromatic facade. Enter through the doors and it’s a party of warm, wooden interiors. The food here is decent (try the salted egg croissants!) but it’s really the quiet, cosy ambience that will make you want to stay.

Address: Jalan Singgahsana 4A/KU5, Bandar Bukit Raja, 41050 Klang

Opening hours: 8.30am – 11.30pm

Phone number: 012 567 7392

5. Fincch Sushi Room

If we have to describe Fincch Sushi Room in one sentence, it’s that they get their ingredients from the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo. But really, every dish—sashimi indulgences aside—will make you salivate.

Opening hours: 11.30am – 2.30pm; 5.30pm – 11pm (closed on Sun)
