Operated by the team behind Flos.co, the cafe packs a major punch in terms of appearance. Flos doesn’t just present edibles and drinkables, the place serves looks too. From the beautiful flowers they are well-known for to artisan coffee, Flos has everything you need for a tranquil time out. Every week, a different chef will take charge of the menu while exclusive floral installations will be designed by the florist for each chef. You will also spot really adorable cats in the space! Among the desserts to try include the cannéle that’s soft on the inside with rum and vanilla aroma, the lightning puff eclāirs, and pavlova. Flos also often uses flower petals in their concoctions—food and drinks. Take note that Flos Cafe is currently operating on a reservation only-basis.

If you’re a fan of ramen, there’s a new joint in town that’s definitely worth checking out. Specialising in traditional Japanese ramen with new flavours, Tomo Ramen Bar makes a carb-licious entrance into the dining scene in PJ. Make sure to give their signature Miso Soy Milk Ramen a go or opt for the Spicy Jigoku. Other dishes to try include the Buta Don—seared pork belly, onsen egg, scallion, and fragrant Japanese rice as well as grilled scallop yakitori with mentaiko sauce and Katsu Curry Don. They also have sake if you want some alcohol to go with your meal.

Jann is headed by Lawson See and concoctions here aim to highlight the unique characteristics and heritage of the people and produce around the area. Try the Kapitan Yap (whisky sour that’s sweetened with honey and mixed with egg white) and Little Devils (Absolut Vanilla, Parfait Amour, roselle juice and Haw flakes). If you’re hungry, order the Salted Egg Fish Skin. The bar’s setting is beautiful and the cocktails are exquisite.
