#BuroEats: 5 New places to visit in KL for December 2017
Heartwarming food in inviting spaces

1. Ate_Cetera Restaurant
Facing the main road and tucked away in a corner of Hartamas Shopping Centre, Ate_Cetera is as fun a restaurant as its playful name. The space is lush with greenery and expansive with natural lighting. The menu is extensive—the food playful but serious with flavours. From their special ATC Nasi Goreng to Gochujang Bowl to The Benedict (yes, as in the eggs) to a duck confit leg served with waffles and truffle butter, there’s something for everyone here.
Address: V-02, Hartamas Shopping Centre
Opening hours: 10am-12am (Sun-Thurs); 10am-1am (Fri-Sat)
Phone number: 03 6203 6838

2. The Owls Cafe @ One Space
If the name sounds familiar, it’s because the cafe is by Bukit Jalil’s New Chapter by The Owls. With vast windows surrounding the space complete with wooden elements in the interior, it’s no doubt a cosy cafe. While there’s a strong menu of mains, be sure not to give the desserts a miss.
Address: One City, Jalan USJ 25/1C, 47100 Subang Jaya
Opening hours: 11am-10pm (Mon-Thurs); 10am-10pm (Fri-Sun)
Phone number: 03 5022 3099
3. Yu Noodle Cuisine @ Jalan Balai Polis
The concept is similar to another popular noodle house in town and Yu Noodle Cuisine is no stranger to the local food scene having first started at Kuchai Lama. One of their latest outlet in Chinatown, however, is still quite new and shine of Instagram-worthy potential. The broth is flavourful and you can up it a notch by adding the Shaoxing rice wine placed on your table. Pork slices here are great but a must-order is the Crispy Fish Skin.
Address: 7-13, Jalan Balai Polis, 50000 Kuala Lumpur
Opening hours: 10.30am – 9.30pm
Phone number: 03 2022 1286
4. The Little Food Shop
Located right next to sister The Bread Shop, The Little Food Shop is part grocery store and part cafe. The humble menu is a nice mix of both Eastern and Western favourites, ranging from nasi lemak with ayam goreng to burger with fries. Expect more dishes to be added in the near future but in the meantime, we say it’s a great place to just get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Address: 15, Jalan Setiakasih 5, Bukit Damansara, 50490 Kuala Lumpur
Opening hours: 8am-5pm (Mon-Sat)
Phone number: 03 s2011 2220
5. Deuce Dining & Bar
With Chef Toni Valero gone, Coquo has been reborn into Deuce with the same heart of impressing guests with its modern European cuisine. Every dish is beautifully presented and distinct in texture and flavour—such as the Duck Breast with Salted Duck egg Crumble and Octopus with Pickled Beetroot and Saffron Aioli. There’s also an open bar with a wide selection of handcrafted cocktails and wine labels for those looking to unwind with a drink or two.
Address: D1-G4-6, Solaris Dutamas (Publika), Mont Kiara, 50480 Kuala Lumpur
Opening hours: 6pm-12am (Tues-Sun)
Phone number: 03 6211 2822
