1. chocha foodstore x botakliqour opening party at choca foodstore, 8pm-1am, 30 September

It’s a two-in-one party as chocha foodstore celebrates their first anniversary while BotakLiquor, its sister bar, officially launches in KL. All handcrafted and draft cocktails for the night start at RM30 while there will also be small plates, tapas and a live DJ performance.

2. Fashion for Education Charity Sale at The Studio, 6F, The Gardens Mall, 11am-7pm, 29-30 September & 1 October

Shop for a cause as Khoon Hooi is having a charity sale featuring over 550 pieces where nothing is over RM30. All proceeds will go to a refugee school called Top Achievers Academy.

3. Get Saucy! Cooking Workshop with Ili Sulaiman at Dish by ili, Bangsar, 10am onwards, 30 September

Ili will be teaching you how to make one simple sauce from scratch followed by three dishes from that one sauce. And each of those dishes will take less than 10 minutes to prepare. Consider this a life-saving lesson to be learnt.

4. Mat Pilates community class at lululemon KL, 9.30am, 30 September

Work your shoulders and hips as well as strengthen and stabilise your core in this community class. You just need to bring your own mat and water bottle.

5. Calligraphy Workshop: Foundational Hand by Huruf at The Zhongshan Building, 2pm-4.30pm, 30 September

Master the foundation of calligraphy in this 4-part workshop that’s suitable for beginners. Materials and light refreshments will be provided.

6. Roasted in Japan coffee sampling event at { X } Coffee, 3F, Isetan the Japan Store, 1pm-5pm, 1 Oct

Get to know (and taste) the latest Japanese coffee roasters who attended the Tokyo Coffee Festival 2017 Autumn. If you like their coffee, you can even make a purchase on the spot.

7. Man Ride 2017 at The Bike Artisans at The Row, 7am-4pm, 1 Oct

Nine locations around the world will come together to raise awareness for men’s mental illness. How? By riding a bike for 100km or 200km. In Malaysia, The Bike Artisans and Black Sheep Cycling is collaborating to organise this event (and it’s open to both men and women, in case you’re wondering). No donations are needed. Just empathy. Just getting the word out.
