7 Things you can do this weekend: 22 & 23 December 2018

1. Ginglebells Gin & Sin at Mamacina @ DC Mall, 6pm – 1am, 20 Dec 2018

Christmas comes early at Mamacina as they introduce a whole new range of gins. Each of them has its own unique flavour profile and you get to choose the garnish which will either make or break your G&T. Or you can just find out more from the friendly bartenders that night.

Flight of 5 Gin tasting will be priced at RM75. For more info, visit the event page.

2. Don’t forget to try the special Buro gelato at Whimsical Gelateria @ Publika, through December 2018

The season of giving is not over! If you missed out on Buro at Riuh, fret not because you can still support the cause by purchasing Merry Berry—our special Buro gelato from Whimsical Gelateria at Publika. RM1 from every sale will go to the Dignity for Children Foundation. More info here.

3. Eco Sky Christmas Bazaar 2018 at Eco Sky @ Jalan Ipoh, 5pm – 10pm, 22 & 23 December 2018

Not done with your Christmas shopping? You might find some pretty cool gifts at this bazaar as there will be food products, jewellery, beauty essentials, art supplies and more. There’ll also be activities and workshops for the kids!

For more info, visit the event page.

4. Check out Ben’s Independent Grocer (B.I.G) at the new mall called The Linc KL

Looking for a change of scenery? The Linc KL is an up-and-coming lifestyle destination and that’s where a new B.I.G has found a home. With a “New York-Manhattan-inspired rooftop garden” concept, the interior is a green beauty. The space features a supermarket, an all-day dining food gallery, a tea bar with over 50 varieties, an American-style milk bar offering milkshakes and classic sundaes, Party Balloon Decorator and more.

For more info, visit the website.

5. Donate English books at The Gardens Mall, till 25 Dec 2018

If you have unwanted English books and you’ll be stopping by The Gardens Mall, how about donating them to Teach for Malaysia, an independent, not-for-profit organisation that provides education to marginalised communities? The booth is located at the North Palm area on the ground floor and donors will get to sign a pledge card valued between RM50 and RM500 that will go towards Teach for Malaysia. The Gardens Mall has pledged to donate up to RM10,000 to the organisation and every help counts.

For more info, visit their Facebook.

6. Christmas cocktails at Pacific Standard Bar @ Alila Bangsar, till 31 Dec 2018

Indulge in a fun night with friends at Pacific Standard Bar as they have a tantalising menu of Christmas cocktails such as the Jingle Sour (inspired by the classic Pisco Sour), Blushing Cobbler (for those who love berries), and Cinnamon Spice & Everything Nice (for that real Christmas spice kick). Last, but not least, instead of mulled wine, they have Christmas Hot Toddy and Hot Buttered Rum.

Each cocktail is priced at RM40 each. For more info, visit their Instagram.
