2. GO BACK IN TIME WITH KREATIF KL FESTIVAL’S ‘LAYAR NOSTALGIA’

Take a trip down memory lane this weekend with ‘Layar Nostalgia’ at Semua House. This event is part of the almost three-month-long Kreatif KL festival celebrating the arts in the city. Over the weekend, you can catch eight free screenings of local movies from the ‘70s to the ‘90s that were filmed right here in Kuala Lumpur. Movies on the schedule include Mat Gelap, Balik Kampung, Kami, and Femina. Plus, there will be meet and greets with both artists and film crew happening on both days too.

3. FUEL YOUR CREATIVE SPARK AT KL DESIGN FESTIVAL’S CONFERENCE

Want to get your creative juices flowing this weekend? Head to KL Design Festival’s Conference at the KL Tourism Bureau. You’ll hear from leading voices in the design landscape, covering industries like fashion and architecture. Speakers include architect Hew Wai Hong, who designed the Apple Store at The Exchange TRX; graphic designer Kukubesi; and fashion designer Han David of Ghostboy.

4. TAKE IN THE CAFFEINE AT THE MALAYSIA LEVER ESPRESSO CHAMPIONSHIP

Catch your favourite baristas and brewers this weekend competing for the title of Malaysia’s best espresso puller! The Lever Espresso Championship is the first competition of its kind in the country and will see 29 entrants battle it out for top prize. Aside from the competition, Ghostbird Coffee Co. is also hosting its very own preloved market for coffee goods in its upstairs space. As for food, the pizza makers at Round, sandwich experts from B-Side, and donut specialists from Donut Plan will be on site to keep you fed. If you have the time, head back to the venue on Sunday again to watch the Malaysia Open Brewer Championship.

5. TUCK INTO SABAYON’S NEW MENU AT EQ KUALA LUMPUR

EQ Kuala Lumpur’s renowned restaurant Sabayon has recently introduced a new menu. Proudly using local ingredients, the dishes take influences from both the East and West, making for a tasteful combination of flavours. There are a few menu options to choose from: the four-course Petit Du Jour, a five-course vegetarian Greener Pastures, and a seven-course Le Degustation. Standout dishes include a corn-fed chicken with red wine sauce, grilled Wagyu steak with truffle potato purée, and pan-fried goose liver with avocado. 6. PUT YOUR THINKING CAPS ON FOR LOOOP X ĀINA COLLECTIVE’S TRIVIA NIGHT

In conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Looop and Āina Collective are hosting a trivia night to support the cause. The theme for the night is circular fashion, so prepare to be quizzed on all things sustainability. 7. BE THE GOOD IN HUMANITY AT TRIPTYK’S FULL MOON (PRELOVED EDITION)

Triptyk’s Full Moon is back for the seventh volume of its Open House and this time, its all about the preloved goods. Kicking off the day at 2pm is a Gotong Royong Cooking for the Needy session. From 3pm onwards, there will be a market and tarot card readings from @ariescrystalchild. The day will then conclude with some beats by Sweatbox Sunset Sessions featuring Obadius and Biscuit. All proceeds from the day will be donated to Oasis Assisted Living.
