2. IGNITE YOUR CRAFTY CURIOSITY AT PECULIAR MESS

Peculiar Mess isn’t your typical weekend market. Combining pizza slices, ceramic art, cake making, and curated finds, Peculiar Mess is set to be a showcase of creativity all around. With The Messy Club behind the creative market, you’re guaranteed to go home with purchases to fawn over, whereas Phil’s Pizza will ensure you don’t leave with an empty stomach. Meanwhile, Uncanny Valley Studios will also be displaying over 60 pieces in its ‘Very Peculiar’ showcase for you to marvel at. Finally, those looking to get crafty can join in on the studio’s very own peculiar flower clay art session or Llebeurre’s flower pot cake making workshop.

3. SPARK YOUR CREATIVITY AT REKA DESIGN WEEK

The annual Reka Design Week has arrived, giving local creatives across industries a chance to shine. Involving brands and locations all over the Klang Valley, this week-long celebration of design features workshops, special installations, product showcases, and more. On 1 November, you can catch the MIID REKA Conference 2024 as part of the larger REKA Interiors Exhibition at the KL Convention Centre. The roster of speakers features acclaimed interior designers such as Ambrish Arora of Studio Lotus and Jamy Yang of Yang Design.

4. WINE DOWN WITH THE ‘FRIENDS OF UNWINED’ SERIES

Prepare for some good wine, good eats, and good people as the ‘Friends of Unwined’ series kicks off this weekend! This month-long programme will see winemakers and experts from all over the world making appearances at all three Unwined outlets to spread the vino love. This weekend, wine mogul Andrea Occhipinti will be in town for an aperitivo tasting and a ‘wine and dine’ session with some natural pours at Bangsar’s Unwined Plus.

5. IMMERSE YOURSELF IN “A SMALL LITTLE PLACE CALLED HONG KONG”

The Back Room has welcomed the prints and paintings of Hong Kong artist Co Wing Ki for her “A Small Little Place Called Hong Kong”. Put together by Malaysian-Hong Kong curator Krystie Ng, the exhibition will offer a glimpse into the bustling cityscape. There will be eight prints and six paintings on display, each portraying different corners of life in Hong Kong. “This exhibition is dedicated to the tiny people and the overlooked elements that form and sustain the fabric of the city,” says the curatorial statement.

6. KICK IT WITH FELLOW SNEAKERHEADS AT SNEAKERLAH 2024
