Kuala Lumpur is now home to two Autograph Collection Hotels

One of them is a name that we are all so familiar with and the other is set to make its exciting debut in February 2017. Both The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur and Hotel Stripes Kuala Lumpur, however, sports all the elements that make it worthy of being called an Autograph Collection Hotel: a fusion of a distinctive vibe and character coupled with today’s modern luxuries and stylish innovations to create a travel experience #ExactlyLikeNothingElse. It is the brand’s first entry into Malaysia, creating a new chapter for our hospitality scene and YTL Hotels.

“Each one is chosen for its founder’s passion, the thoughtfulness of its design, its inherent craft, and its connection with the locale. Our aim is to showcase some of the most beautifully orchestrated hotel experiences the world has to offer.” — Autograph Collection Hotels

The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur is no stranger to any fellow Malaysian. Built in the 1930s, it’s iconic and even documented as a national heritage site under the Antiquities Act. Besides its impeccable design that resembles the time of old with modern touches, its 300 luxurious rooms and suites and everything within, the hotel’s location on Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin opposite the old Moorish-style railway station is its other key charm.

Somewhere closer to the heart of KL, on the other hand, is Hotel Stripes Kuala Lumpur on historical Jalan Kamunting. Set to open on 12 February 2017, it houses 184 bespoke guest rooms and suites that are a unique blend of contemporary design and urban chic while still reflecting the history and character of the neighbourhood, which includes the reincarnation of The Row. Located in such a quaint corner of the city that is right by the business hub yet close to some of the greatest local food hotspots, art galleries, shops and legendary landmarks, it’s ideal as both a staycation for the locals and a home away from home for travellers.
