Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel to reopen as first dual-branded hotel in Malaysia

Expanding on Marriott International’s portfolio of 30 hotel brands, Marriott Bonvoy is proud to announce that Renaissance Hotel Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre is undergoing refurbishment to reopen as the first dual-branded hotel in Malaysia later this year.

By the end of the third quarter of 2023, the hotel’s 27-year legacy will see a refresh featuring two brands at one address,  just steps away from the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. Guests can look forward to a unique and unforgettable experience with two distinct styles—Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre with its theatrical design and intriguing signature programs, and Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, City Centre with its timeless style and simple pleasures.

Both hotels are easily accessible through public transportation such as the Bukit Nanas monorail and Dang Wangi light rail transit stations nearby, as well as GoKL—the free city bus by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL).

DINING

Visitors can enjoy a variety of local and global flavours at both hotels across six halal-certified restaurants. For starters, Evolution Café in Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre is an open-kitchen all-day dining concept inspired by the Amalfi Coast, serving casual Italian cuisine.

Head to the signature R Bar to enjoy live music by local musicians, while sipping on refreshing concoctions and admiring the stunning city views with your loved ones. For a cosier setting to celebrate special occasions, the bar’s Hole in The Wall is the perfect spot.

Further, feed your cravings for authentic Sichuan cuisine at Sichuan Kitchen, the signature restaurant of Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, City Centre. The restaurant has five private rooms and an open area where you can enjoy spicy mala hotpot, hand-pulled dan dan noodles, and more. On the other hand, if you’re looking for nostalgic flavours from Malaysia and Southeast Asia with a modern twist, Mesh restaurant presents a modern and contemporary space with distinctively styled areas reminiscent of an indoor summer garden or an exquisite library.

As part of the Four Points signature Best Brews program, Grab N Go highlights the hotel’s very own Nitro brew made in-house, offering a selection of conveniently packed foods and fresh pastries for those on the go.

There’s also Gazebo, the Mediterranean-inspired poolside restaurant and bar that offers tropical flavours with its refreshing selection of cocktails and mocktails, hand-crafted with seasonal ingredients that are sourced locally.

FACILITIES

Both hotels will share access to common facilities on levels 3 and 4. These include one of the largest outdoor pools in the city (with waterslides!), a fitness centre, Mandara Spa, Stay & Play (a multi-function room for private events), an indoor kids club, and Paradise Palms—a 13,000-square feet outdoor play area for families and children.

The dual-branded hotel also houses a convention centre located between Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre and Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, City Centre. It is able to host large-scale conferences, seminars, meetings and banquets. Spanning 46,000 square feet of space across four floors, it also features a magnificent, newly refurbished Grand Ballroom and 25 versatile meeting and event spaces, which come with hi-tech audiovisual and teleconferencing equipment. Plus, guests can utilise a separate entrance for prime access, while the large and elegant foyers can hold large-scale receptions and exhibitions.

Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre is expected to reopen in the early third quarter of 2023, and Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur, City Centre will welcome their first guest by the end of the same quarter.
