The H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Perpetual Moon Concept is a stunning ode to the moon

Here is a moon phase watch where the complication doesn’t take a co-starring role on the dial; rather, it takes centre stage against H. Moser’s characteristically minimalist backdrop, so the moon appears to be floating in interplanetary space.

This effect is especially enhanced in the steel model, which features an all-black dial made from Vantablack. Being the darkest substance known, Vantablack is able to absorb 99.6% of light and is used in astrophysics in telescopes—it is the darkest black dial yet in the world of horology. Against the abyss-like dial, the poetic complication shines with purity at 6 o’clock.

In the red gold version, the moon is suspended in a stunning midnight-blue fumé dial, a H. Moser signature. The elegant colour combination is complemented by a brown leather alligator strap.

The H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Perpetual Moon is powered by the HMC 801 hand-wound calibre. You’ll be wearing what is surely the most precise moon phases out there—it is accurate to one day every 1027.3 years!—on your wrist, equipped with an interchangeable Moser escapement and a 7-day power reserve, which is indicated on the movement through the caseback.

Each version of the Endeavour Perpetual Moon is available in a limited edition of just 50 pieces.
