Malaysia gets an exclusive Hublot watch in honour of our 60th Independence Day
Time to flaunt some patriotism
What better name to give it than the proclamation of independence itself, “Merdeka.” The Hublot Big Bang “Merdeka”, is its name in full. In joint venture with The Hour Glass, Hublot celebrates the diamond jubilee of Malaysia’s independence by crafting a limited edition blue ceramic variant of the iconic Hublot Big Bang that will be made available only in Malaysia.
Blue alligator straps extend the patriotic blue colourway of its 44mm micro-blasted ceramic case and cobalt dial while gold stitches and accents recall the crescent and Federal Star on the national flag—the Jalur Gemilang. The big 6-0—for 60 years of independence—too, is emphasised in gold on the 60-minute and 60-second marker.
“We are honored to celebrate such a significant milestone with Malaysia with the use of our latest innovative material-blue ceramic. The Hublot Big Bang “Merdeka” is a true embodiment of the “Art of Fusion,” said Mr. Ricardo Guadalupe, the CEO of Hublot.
The Hublot Big Bang “Merdeka” timepiece will be available at Hublot Boutique Suria KLCC and The Hour Glass boutiques nationwide at the end of August.
