Bring the Montblanc TimeWalker out for a ride and feel your heart race
Inspired by performance
Rewind the clock and you will find that precision and performance have been linked since the inception of motor racing. Playing an invariable role in this is the chronograph—neither the complication nor the sport could exist without one or the other.
Inspired by instruments of glory in the golden age of automotive sports, the Montblanc TimeWalker collection offers a lineup of professional watches ingrained with the spirit of racing and the heritage of Minerva.
Who is Minerva?
From the dawn of the 20th century, Minerva has been a leading specialist in the fabrication of professional watches as they successfully broke technological ground. Year 1911 saw the development of stopwatches that could measure 1/5th of a second and by 1916, the Minerva Manufacture was one of the first to produce a high-frequency movement that measured 1/100th of a second.
The new Montblanc TimeWalker collection
A coalescence of its distinct authorship marks this horological range with a fusion of cutting-edge innovation and vintage reverence. Interpreted for a contemporary market, the professional sport chronograph is housed within a modern 43 mm satinated case supported by semi-skeletonized horns with architecturally carved flanks, all in tribute to the aerodynamic bodywork of classic cars. Knurled flanks, crowns and pushers reminisce on vintage car caps; smoked glass case backs bring back the glass windows that reveal sporty V12 engines; and specially designed strap holes recall vintage leather racing gloves.
The dials are crafted with appreciation towards the striking quality vintage dashboards possess. Three-dimensional counters, precise scales, and dauphine-shaped SuperLuminova-coated hands are amongst the features that delineate the TimeWalker watches. An iconic central seconds hand coated in red with the tip crafted in the shape of the Minerva arrow found on most of the models delivers ultimate precision.
