AMAN NAI LERT BANGKOK, THAILAND
The Aman name is landing in Thailand for the second time with the opening of Aman Nai Lert Bangkok, the 36th entry in the brand’s portfolio. Home to 52 suites, the property overlooks the lush Lumpini Park in a neighbourhood known for its greenery and prestigious embassies. Designed by trusted Aman collaborator Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston architects, the Aman Nai Lert Bangkok will tastefully combine historical elements—such as the Nai Lert Park Heritage Home on the property—with clean, contemporary elements.
Rooms will start at 94 square metres, making them among the largest in the city. At the pinnacle of the Aman Nai Lert Bangkok experience is the Aman Suite, taking up an entire floor of 713 square metres. The signature Aman Spa & Wellness centre that spans 1,500 square metres over two storeys. Within the spa’s space will be a medical wellness clinic by Hertitude Clinic including a cryotherapy chamber, IV lounge, and eight private clinic rooms. Meanwhile, the Aman Spa sector will feature a range of hydrotherapy facilities, movement spaces, the private Banya Spa House, and a Thai massage treatment room. To wine and dine, guests can head to the hotel’s signature Italian restaurant, Arva, before popping by 1872, the lounge bar for a nightcap.

THE RITZ-CARLTON, BANGKOK
It seems as though the Thai capital is shaping up to be a hotspot for new hotels in Asia this 2025. The Ritz-Carlton, Bangkok is set within the 216-metre-high One Bangkok tower, overlooking Lumpini Park in the Pathumwan neighbourhood. Its visuals were brought to life by Thai interior design studio PIA, who were tasked with gracefully capturing its “Meeting Two Civilisations” concept, dedicated to embracing the city’s vibrant energy and rich heritage. The 260 luxuriously appointed rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, with some offering private loggias and terraces with views of the park.
Guests are invited to choose from the spacious 50-square-meter Deluxe Rooms, the exquisitely appointed 102-square-meter Gardenia Suites, or the enchanting 127-square-meter Marigold and Amaranth Suites. Atop the hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Suite crowns the property as a 389-square-meter penthouse, offering an unrivaled setting for the most luxurious of escapes. Also within the property is modern French restaurant Duet by David Toutain, led by the eponymous Michelin-starred chef alongside culinary prodigy Valentin Fouache. For some relaxation, guests can head to The Ritz-Carlton Spa, where they’ll find five state-of-the-art treatment rooms, a couple’s spa suite, a relaxing pod, two pools, and a fully-equipped gym.

CAPELLA KYOTO
Over in the historic capital of Japan, the Capella Hotels and Resorts brand makes its debut with Capella Kyoto. With renowned architecture firm Kengo Kuma and Associates taking the lead in designing the hotel, guests can expect a tasteful union of modern works and historical artefacts, highlighting the city’s art and culture throughout the hotel. The 92-room property will stand four storeys tall, blending seamlessly into the city’s low-rise profile in the Miyagawa-chō district.
The guest rooms’ designs are a nod to the rich heritage of the Higashiyama district, decorated with muted hues and intricate textures. As for its location, it sits next to the historic Kenninji Temple and is just minutes away from the Gion District, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera, and other iconic landmarks of the city. Within the hotel itself, guests can take a break from it all at its Japanese garden courtyard or head to the Auriga Spa, complete with a private onsen. There are three dining outlets slated to make up the hotel’s restaurant network, while a Capella ballroom will be the host for larger events.

WALDORF ASTORIA OSAKA
The Waldorf Astoria brand will be making its first-ever appearance in Japan with its 252-room opening in the Umekita district of Osaka. Its opening this April 2025 coincides with the opening of the World Expo 2025 in the city, which is expected to create an influx of tourism from all over the world. Guest rooms are dressed in classic art deco opulence, tinged with hints of traditional Japanese influences. Beyond their windows are expansive views of Osaka Bay or the neon-lit metropolis.
As for amenities, guests will be treated to world-class facilities, including a 24-hour fitness center and an indoor pool on the 30th floor. Meanwhile, the Waldorf Astoria Spa will serve as a haven for guests to wind down in after days of shopping and exploring the city’s sights. Treatments include aromatherapy featuring a signature Waldorf Astoria Osaka scent as well as wellness programs that take inspiration from Japanese culture. The hotel will also be home to four dining and drinks outlets: the all-day dining hub Peacock Alley, cocktail bar Canes & Tales, French bistro Jolie Brasserie, plus sushi and teppanyaki specialist Tsukimi.

ROSEWOOD MIYAKOJIMA

Another new property gracing Japan’s shores is Rosewood Miyakojima on an untouched peninsula in the Okinawa prefecture just off the south coast of the mainland. Miyakojima, known as the “Island of Prayers”, is a spiritually-driven destination that will immerse you into the region’s one-of-a-kind Ryukyu culture. This opening also marks the first time the Rosewood brand arrives in the country, making it one of the more exciting new hotels to launch in Asia this 2025. There are 55 villas and houses on the property, spread across five different zones on the peninsula. The three houses are the largest accommodations on the resort with high ceilings, an open terrace with barbecue grills, and a dedicated butler service.
The hotel features four distinct restaurants and bars, all of which are a nod to the local delicacies and the hotel’s oceanic surroundings. Rosewood Miyakojima also aims to give guests a taste of the innately healthy lifestyle that Okinawa is known for with its own wellbeing concept, Asaya. The Asaya Spa offers specialty therapies with rituals grounded in Okinawan traditions such as an herbal compress that uses medicinal herbs and Miyako Island sea salt. Guests who also want to stay active during their time here can take part in martial arts classes. After all, this region is the birthplace of karate. Other than that, the property also has a yoga studio and fully-equipped fitness center for guests to enjoy.

MANDAI RAINFOREST RESORT BY BANYAN TREE
Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree, one of the more nature-focused new hotels in Asia opening this 2025, is set to grace Singapore’s burgeoning hospitality industry in the first half of the year. The 4.6-hectare resort is located within the wildlife reserve that it’s named after and will be home to 338 biophilic-inspired accommodations. Amongst the many sights at the resort, guests will first encounter the 12-metre-tall Rain Tree and the Indian Beech tree upon arrival, showcasing the resort’s commitment to existing harmoniously with nature.

Each of the 314 rooms and suites will offer guests an all-encompassing rainforest experience—including views of the Upper Seleter Reservoir—with its design paying homage to its lush surroundings. Meanwhile, the 24 tree houses offer the signature Mandai Rainforest Resort experience, each complete with a private patio. To keep themselves occupied, guests can take part in immersive experiences including guided wildlife walks, wellness retreats, as well as other activities that the resort can arrange for.

THE PARK LANE HONG KONG
The Park Lane Hong Kong, Autograph Collection reemerges from a with a fresh face in the heart of Causeway Bay. This opening marks the debut of the Autograph Collection brand in this bustling city. With this refresh, the hotel will bring a renewed sense of vitality to the Victoria Harbour area. Its location at the gates of Victoria Park provides guests with convenient access to Hong Kong landmarks, including the World Trade Center.
This luxury address is home to three restaurants, including a rooftop bar and brasserie, a lounge, and an international cuisine dining hub. Within the property are 820 thoughtfully-designed rooms, featuring designer furniture and abstract graffiti art that add to the hotel’s modern allure. The rooms and suites also offer incredible views of the city’s skyline, Victoria Park, and Victoria Harbour.
