The new lip gloss range from Chanel will convert your matte-lip-only status

Whoever says lip gloss is passé, hold your horses and wait till you see what Chanel has to offer this season. The new Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss will give you reason to jump (back) on the gloss-wagon and put away your matte liquid lipsticks for a moment—all thanks to its incredible colour, texture and formula.

Developed in collaboration with Chanel Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer, Lucia Pica, Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss is revolutionising what lip glosses should feel and look like. Its new formula is akin to a melt-away gel that is non-sticky and illuminating at the same time, with translucent glass beads that reflect light for a mirror shine. If you’re looking for a lip gloss that quenches your lips at the same time, the Rouge Coco Gloss is your go-to for its Hydraboost complex—a blend of natural waxes of jojoba, sunflower and mimosa along with natural coconut oil for all-day comfort and hydration. The best part? It comes in flavours that are good enough to eat, with 24 shades that would appeal to any lip gloss junkie, from golden beige and delicate pink to raspberry red and brilliant plum.

But what makes Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss stand out is that there are three exclusive ‘top coats’ that you can layer above your existing Chanel lipsticks for added texture and pigment. Excitation is a sparkling translucent shade for high shine, while Impulsion offers a neon, orange-yellow hue that would make any lippie stand out. For a head-turning look, try out Caviar for a mysterious, onyx sheen that would guarantee a statement-making effect.

The face of Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss is none other than the house ambassador Lily-Rose Depp, who also is the face of Chanel N°5 L’Eau. Check out the new video campaign and exclusive backstage visuals of the young star during the recent Chanel Métiers d’Art 2017 show below:
