6 April (Sat), Swee Lee Music Night ft. Battle Bloom x Manju Pocket @ Swee Lee, Lot 10

If you haven’t paid the revamped Swee Lee space in Lot 10 a visit, this gives you the perfect reason to do so! Swee Lee brings back its Music Night series at the Swee Lee Social Club, so you can enjoy an evening of great coffee, stellar music and like-minded new friends. Taking the stage are local indie band Battle Bloom and Manju Pocket, all the way from Korea!

6 April (Sat), Cosmic Dreamers @ fono, The Zhongshan Building

Presented by the ever-funky Xes Xes Loveseat and friends, expect a dreamy night of Deep-Acid Nusantara-Space-Funk, as coined by the man himself. A good time is always guaranteed at fono after all.

No stranger to major stages like Coachella and Glastonbury, the Grammy-winning musical chameleon Thundercat is set to perform in KL for the first time. For those not familiar with the name, he’s the mastermind behind the likes of Kendrick Lamar’s To Pimp A Butterfly and Flying Lotus’ You’re Dead!

10 April (Wed), The Frankie Sixes @ No Black Tie

Trust the Frankie Sixes to bring you a swingin’, jazzy good time. Lead by the velvety vocals of Reza Salleh, the band consists of Ee Jeng on keys, Che Wan on double bass, and KJ on drums.

12 & 13 April (Fri & Sat), Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy @ Dewan Filharmonik Petronas

The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) and Dithyrambic Singers presents Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy, bringing your video game fantasy to life through the power of music. Under the direction of Arnie Roth, the MPO will pay homage to the music of legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu and over 30 years of Final Fantasy games!
