The night was off to an exciting start as host, Adam Devine was joined by Josh Gad, Hailee Steinfeld and Rebel Wilson in a Beauty and the Beast medley that involved bursting into song and flames. Formerly just known as the MTV Movie Awards, the newly revamped awards show with its new title now honours the best from both big and small screens.
But prior to the ‘Stranger Things’ kids stealing the show as usual and Emma Watson picking up the first genderless Best Actor in a Movie award, stars turned heads on the red carpet in dazzling ensembles. Be it the sparkly getups like those of Allison Williams’ and the original Belle of the ball, colour blocked frocks as worn by Zara Larsson and Tracee Ellis Ross, or an all-white outfit worked to a tee by Millie Bobby Brown and Zac Efron; we couldn’t help but appreciate the wearable yet fierce looks from the event.
Even the two Wolverines (see first picture of story) approve.
